Headhunted to Another World: From Salaryman to Big Four! (also known as Salaryman ga Isekai ni Ittara Shitennou ni Natta Hanashi) is an entertaining fantasy adventure about a regular office worker who’s unexpectedly recruited to be one of the top generals, or “Four Heavenly Kings,” for a demon king in a magical world. It blends humor, action, and a fresh twist on the isekai (other-world) genre.

The manga began in December 2019 on the Comic Gardo website and has been collected into 10 volumes. It’s licensed in English by Seven Seas Entertainment and has sold over 450,000 copies, gaining fans worldwide.

An anime adaptation will premiere on January 6, 2025, produced by Geek Toys and CompTown. Directed by Michio Fukuda, the show features beautiful character designs, a catchy opening theme (“Isekai Kyōsōkyoku”), and a fun ending theme (“Tsuyo Girlfriend”).
